Jay
Bickers, DVM
Dr. Jay Bickers began working for BVEH at the
end of 2006 at the Morgan Mill office. Upon
graduation from Texas A & M College of
Veterinary Medicine in 1990, Dr. Bickers worked
in private practice for several years before he
accepted a fellowship at Oregon State
University. In 2002, Dr. Bickers became a board
certified large animal surgeon after completing
a three year surgical residency at the
University of Tennessee. While at UT, he also
assisted in developing the Emergency and
Critical Care department as the first emergency
clinician. Certified in veterinary
chiropractics, Dr. Bickers has recently
completed acupuncture training. His clinical
interests include lameness, orthopedic surgery,
colic surgery and chiropractics. In his spare
time, he enjoys working with his wife around
their yard/pasture, day work on area ranches,
working with his horse and cow dog, and reading.
