With the addition of Dr. Ricks to
our practice, BVEH will now transfer embryos that we
flush into our own recipient mares. We hope that the
use of our own mares will: Improve the percentage of
successful transfers after flushing, help to cut down on the
spread of diseases that recipient mares can carry (like
strangles and EVA). and save our local clients time and
money that would otherwise be spent shipping and paying
boarding charges for mares. It is our commitment to
thoroughly screen our mares for disease, personality, and
reproductive soundness prior to transfer of the embryo.
